Tara L. Jacobi
Tara Jacobi graduated from Pace University School of Law in 1997 with a certificate in International Law from the University College London. Initially, she practiced in the private sector representing insurance companies in New York City before transitioning to government and non-profit work. She represented the states of Maine and Nevada in developing their child support enforcement policies. As a staff attorney for the non-profits, The Legal Project in Albany, New York and Legal Services for the Elderly in Augusta, Maine she represented domestic violence and elder abuse survivors. She is an active member and former past President of the Women Lawyers Association in San Luis Obispo County and the current Editor of the San Luis Obispo County Bar Association’s Bar Bulletin. During her son’s younger years, she was a homeschooling teacher. She is also a certified writing teacher with the Institute of Excellence in Writing. As a life-long runner, she enjoys partaking in local races.
